What this category is for
A meeting room is not a display; it is a display, an audio path, a camera, a connection method and a control surface that all have to agree. Most rooms that do not work have good equipment and no agreement between the parts, and the fix is a standard room design applied consistently rather than a better screen.
Signage and always-on displays are a different product from an office monitor even when the picture looks the same. Panels running sixteen hours a day in a bright lobby need a commercial rating, a mounting method and a way to update content remotely, and consumer panels put into that duty fail in months.

What decides the specification
The questions a quotation is built from. Answering these is usually faster than sending a part number, and it catches the requirement a part number would have got wrong.

Viewing distance, seating layout, ambient light and where the glass is. These decide size and brightness; a spec sheet cannot.

The conferencing platform in use, whether guests need to join, and whether a laptop is expected to drive the room or the room drives itself.
